Software Developer II Full Time
Job Description
Mid- to Senior-level software developer/programmer who works primarily as a contributor on a diverse Scrum team by participating in the overall design and development of web-based and other software applications that are data-centric in nature and that operate using a database server back-end. Individual is capable of working on a Scrum team providing instruction, education, and mentoring for junior-level developers. Job requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a cooperative team member to achieve team goals. Position requires a wide degree of creativity and an individual who can rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist in design of multi-tiered software applications
• Design new features and functionality into an existing system
• Develop applications and application components
• Debug and determine fixes for identified software defects
• Unit test implemented software to ensure the individual unit meets applicable software requirements
• Assist in integration testing of multiple compiled units to ensure compilation meets applicable software requirements
• Instruct, educate, and mentor junior-level software developers
• Successfully work with other on a highly integrated Agile/Scrum team.
• Some travel (~5% of time)
Educational/Experiential background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 or more years of related experience
• Higher-Level Certifications (e.g. MCSD, MCPD, etc.)
• Working as a member of a software development team
• Working as an independent developer or leading a small development team
• Translating functional requirements into software designs
• Web-based design and implementation
• Agile development processes.
• Development of multi-tiered distributed applications
• C#, ASP.NET, HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript, MVC, IIS, SQL Server, Windows Server, Silverlight
• Mobile Device, Mobile Web application, iPad/ Tablet
