Technology Architect Full Time

GENERAL SCOPE & SUMMARY

The Solutions Architect is an individual who partners with our Sales team and is capable of understanding and documenting technical and functional requirements from our customers and translate them into a successful solution design. Able to understand the customer’s business, and help demonstrate why your designed solution will support the long-term success of the project and their business. Will work with a wide variety of customers, large and small and across multiple verticals, to ensure that our delivery team is perfectly positioned to implement a project that is focused on long term success. Will run detailed scoping sessions with customers, capturing their business requirements and deliver Quotes and SOWs in an efficient and timely manner. Act as the conduit between our sales and our project delivery team, ensuring that we design high quality and effective technical solutions to our customer’s business challenges.

PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Remain engaged during the entire project lifecycle and responsible for technical solution delivery and testing.
• Will be passionate about the company’s solution, it’s part in a customer’s overall IT ecosystem and the benefits that the solution will deliver.
• Work collaboratively with Account Executives and Solution Consultants to position success paths for our prospects and customers
• Link business processes with product/technical solutions
• Gather requirements in the Solution Design Requirements (SDR) document and contribute to the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs) and change orders for new and existing customers
• Position and present implementation options & proposals to customers & prospects
• Operate as part of the global team of Solution Architects to ensure a standard approach to the role is applied
• Gather feedback from previous implementations to continually refine and improve the scoping and delivery processes
• Collaborate with Sales organization and customers during pre-sales discovery with the Sales organization in reviewing proposed customer solutions.
• Review and acknowledge language in SOW to ensure accuracy and customer hardware requirements are in line with proposed solution.
• Attend customer kickoff calls/meetings acting as the technical project lead.
• Meet with customer’s technical staff to review and ensure they understand the technical requirements of the project.
• Lead project Functional Requirements Sessions (FRS) and maintain Functional Requirements Document (FRD)
• Lead project Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and maintain the Technical Design Document (TDD)
• Create the initial Baseline Installation Document (BID) where needed
• Participate on weekly project calls.
• Create solution End-to-End test plan and oversee solution testing.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of cloud fundamentals and principles
• Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following: consulting services, project management, business analysis, SaaS Implementations, web and mobile application development.
• Must possess strong written and oral communications skills in English
• Excel at, and enjoy presenting – showcase high energy, enthusiasm and positivity
• Work effectively as a member of a cross-functional team (internal & external)
• Experience in a fast paced, high growth & dynamic environment
• Experience with various architectures (Web, Enterprise) and methodologies
• Basic knowledge in VoIP and telephony configuration and troubleshooting skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 9+ years of total IT experience
• 2+ years’ experience as a Cloud Architect, with focus on Azure, cloud, server, storage and networking.
• Azure and/or AWS based Cloud Architecture with relevant migration skills and experience.
• Strong understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud architectures and designs.
• Experience with Business Process and/or Services Modeling
• Understanding of Enterprise systems like Identity & Access Management, Master Data, Security etc.
• Software Integration knowledge for systems on the cloud and On Premises
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• Ability to pass a background check may also be required.
• Willing and able to travel.
• Ability to work US/UK normal business hours.
• Functional use of MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and the ability to learn and utilize resource tools.
