Position Summary
Position Summary
On a high-level, you will be joining us to develop life-changing and in many cases life-saving process solutions for our clients. This includes but is not limited to:
· Developing process flow diagrams to define heat and material balance
· Establishing a process design basis, developing process options and optimization of selected design
· Designing and creating Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
-Preparing bid and purchase specifications for processing equipment (e.g. chromatography columns, pressure vessels, bioreactors, filtration skids)
-Calculating loads for Clean Utilities, line sizing, and distribution design (e.g. water for injection, clean steam, process gases)
-Participating in planning, cost development, and scheduling for assigned project
-Maintaining effective communication with project team members and with the customer
-Calculating and organizing data for other Jacobs disciplines, such as instrument data for I&C or electrical loading’s
-Performing routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under supervision
-Work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracy by a Senior Engineer
-Coaching and support for entry-level process engineers
Qualifications
-Candidates should be self-motivated professionals, eager to make an impact
-Excellent oral and written communication skills, decision making capabilities, problem resolution skills, and a sense of initiative are important for this industry
-Microsoft Office experience required; AutoCAD and Revit experience a plus
-2-5 years of experience required
-BS or MS in chemical/mechanical/bio engineering required
