Job Description

The focus of the Sales Manager role is to provide leadership to accelerate our customers’ digital transformation, implementing sales strategies that enable realization of Enterprise Services goals to Support the Lifecycle, Champion Consumption & Make the Market. Key accountabilities include:

 

Drive Customer Success through Inspirational Leadership

  • Develop sales strategy for driving new, industry-relevant customer solutions in your market, aligned to the Services Go-To-Market Plan for your area & Enterprise Operating Unit (EOU) strategy
  • Inspire your sellers, fostering a culture of customer-centricity, accountability, collaboration and achieving big bold goals
  • Lead by example, personally engaging with customers at CxO level, supporting & coaching sellers on new opportunity discovery & acceleration
  • MUS – Microsoft Unified support – to land the model, expand and lead value selling to clients for MUS
  • Responsible for the 50Mil PCB business for the area

Drive Excellence in Execution & Maintain a High-Performing Team

  •  Develop a high-performing, diverse and sustainable team to enable long-term, predictable revenue growth and satisfied Microsoft customers
  •  Ensure compliance of pre-sales spend to budget, Sold Margin & Revenue Mix
  •  Hold sellers accountable, driving excellence in new business & account planning, pipeline management, forecasting & close planning
  •  Coach consistently in accordance with Microsoft’s Empowering Digital Success culture
  • Manage, motivate the Premier SSSP team to execute to a rhythm and achieve numbers on a weekly/monthly ROB
  •  Drive integration and orchestration with EOU, Specialist Team Unit (STU), Customer Success Unit (CSU) and One Commercial Partner (OCP) teams, to ensure ‘One Microsoft’ execution with customers.
  • Working with the EC, PS and OCP in the area to enhance New business for Premier services and to help achieve country CPE
  • Meet or exceed revenue & core priority targets, executing in accordance with prescribed Microsoft methods, processes and tools

  • Drive sales discipline and accountability, ensuring excellence in account & territory planning, pipeline
  • management, forecasting & close planning; Drive excellence in intentional execution, ensuring area goals & targets are achieved or exceeded through execution of prioritized Sales Plays & ability to Inspire, challenge & develop team members, consistently coaching & role-modelling in line with recognized practices.
  • Identify clients ready for/ interested in Digital Transformation and involve the appropriate sales team after having an initial conversation with these clients
  • Support the overall India business to ensure key clients on Azure and other cloud workloads have appropriate Support services to ensure they get the maximum possible value from their investment in Microsoft products
  • Working with the EC, PS and OCP in the area to enhance New business for Premier services and to help achieve country CPE
  • Land and expand Microsoft’s next generation support model, Unified Services through value selling to approved clients
  • Manage, motivate and inspire the Premier Sales (SSSP) team to grow sales, particularly for new clients while executing against a rhythm and achieve predictability in sales on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Embody and set example for Microsoft values – including active advance of Diversity & Inclusion as a key principle while growing our business

Qualifications

Key Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Education Required:

  • Proven sales success and expertise in selling complex solutions to enterprise customers, with track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Industry knowledge, with experience in multiple sectors and industries
  •  Management experience of coaching and developing high-performing sales individuals
  •  Experienced in complex sales methods & processes
  • Sales and business background, with 7+ years of technology-related experience
  •  Bachelor’s degree with exposure to Information Technology (or equivalent)
