Senior Anodization Process Engineer Full Time

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Responsibilities include: Investigation, evaluation, and selection of process and technologies that take the Surface product line to the next level in ID design and customer delight.

Must be and expert in the science of Anodizing and mechanical, chemical, electro-chemical surface treatments. Also have a thorough understanding of Experimental Design and analysis.

Provide concise feedback on manufacturing feasibility to product design teams and industrial designers.

Understand how to develop and deploy processes with the highest yields and provide the methods and tools for managing a high volume manufacturing process. Research and identify novel approaches to surface treatments and have the ability to influence upward and across the organization to continuously evolve and improve the Surface product line. Drive vendor capability assessments, that result in ensuring chosen vendors are capable and prepared to support current and future technologies. Provide leadership and influence across multiple product development disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, CMD, CMF, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing/Assembly, Program Management, Factory Management.

Qualifications :

Qualifications: Bachelor or higher degree on chemical engineering or material science engineering major

Able to communicate with china-based suppliers and capable of working independently. Both Mandarin and English are required.

Minimum 5-year experience on surface treatment processes, especially on finishing and anodizing fields on consumer electronics products

Good at experimental design for trouble-shooting solving based on fluent chemical/material-related knowledge and experience.

A working knowledge of the analysis tools and techniques to fully characterize a process.

Knowledge of: – Nano-mold surface preparation treatments – Metals/Alloys and how they interact with electro-chemical processes – Fundamental understanding of the science of Anodization

– Familiar with mechanical surface treatments such as polishing, sanding, and abrasive media blasting.
