Job Description
Roles and Responsibility :
Linux Engineer
? Upgrade operating system software (Distro and Kernel) Work cross functionally integrating, testing and debugging issues with existing system wide software.
? Evaluate and integrate or develop solutions for Azure environments for any security vulnerabilities as reported by RedHat.
? Design and implement tools, processes and software to streamline the upgrade of base software. Document software designs and unit tests
? Serve as a technical guide to junior members of the engineering development staff Experience with Container based architecture and deployments (Docker, Ansible).
? Orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes Experience using scripting languages Python, Perl, TLC and configuration management tools (Git, perforce)
? Proficient in Linux/UNIX Operating Systems Understanding of Linux/UNIX packaging systems, preferably RPM Linux/UNIX development experience, systems administration knowledge desired
? Networking exposure a plus (e.g. tcp, http, ssl) Knowledge of C/C++ Familiarity with encryption keys and authentication methods
? Familiarity Linux software installation processes and procedures
? Strong communication skills Self-motivated and highly ambitious Creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments Excellent teamwork and people skills
? Build and manage servers, clusters, and datacenters.
? Configuring and trouble-shooting Linux networking skills a very high want
