Director of Finance / Financial Controller Full Time
Job Description
About the role:
As a member of the finance team reporting to the CFO, the Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations and financial reporting cycle, continuous improvement of financial policies and procedures, internal controls and financial reporting to best support operations in achieving their goals. The position is key with supporting company stakeholders with their financial decision process.
The Director of Finance is also responsible for planning, directing and controlling financial resources as well as managing the off-shore HR and administrative functions in accordance to Strategys policies and procedures and applicable territorial legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, cash forecasting and budgeting processing and outputs
Analyze financial performance against key metrics and documents pertinent financial highlights that will drive management decision making
Drives the definition and consistent reporting of the appropriate set of key metrics and KPIs for the business
Establishes, monitors and enforces policies, procedures, and internal controls according to company policy
Cashflow forecasting & monitoring
Provides status of financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting and reporting key financial data and comparing to budgets and forecasts
Evaluating, confirming and addressing emerging business requirements impacting finance
Determining how to best update the financial and related software enabling emerging business requirements
Supports the CFO in a business partnership role to help the company stakeholders continuously improve the organizations financial performance
Knowledge and Expertise:
Minimum 10 years of experience working in similar management or controllership position
Recognized professional accounting designation
Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Working capital management skills
Prepare financial package towards raising funds (bank, money markets, investors)
Proficient with Indian banking regulations
Proficient with Indian sales tax and corporate tax regulations
Proficient with Indian legal rules and regulations to operate a service business in India
Experience with cash surplus investing
Trust & Fund accounting
Inter-company (consolidation) accounting
Foreign exchange accounting
Governance and financial policy
Importing / Exporting data files
Excellent Excel reporting skills
Experience in Group Insurance Industry preferable but not mandatory. Candidate from life and health insurance industry will be a big plus.
Proficient with using cloud-based/Web-based information systems.
Experience in Project Accounting will be preferred
Exposure to ERP/CRM Environment and Data Warehouse experience will be a plus
Experience in cloud-based Office 365 including Sharepoint
French language skill will have edge over the other candidates
Effective at working remotely with stakeholders in an emerging business environment.

Salary: INR 12,00,000 – 22,00,000 P.A. As per Industry Standards
