Governance, Risk and Controls (GRC) drives positive impact to Cisco’s business practices through influencing change for efficient, effective, and ethical purposes. We have geographically dispersed teams that actively collaborate across all of the theaters, functions and business groups. GRC provides invaluable experience, exposure, and education in developing Cisco current and future leaders.
The Team
The GRC Operations team leads the departmental operations including data analytics, development and preparation of reporting, presentations, metrics, and bench marking for the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and Cisco’s Executive Leadership. Professional Practices leads the departmental audit methodology, training, budgeting, resource scheduling, and the audit risk assessment planning process. GRC Operations also manages special projects staffing process and some of the special projects.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager – GRC Data Intelligence & Operations, this highly visible position leads interactions with all levels within GRC and the Finance Compliance Steering Compliance leadership team exhibiting strong project management, organizational, and communication skills while..
– Understanding business processes, identifying opportunities for improvements, and supporting them with data intelligence.
– Data analysis and data extraction from multiple sources (Business Objects Universe, Teradata, Oracle etc.)
– Working with audit and investigations teams to understand continuous audit and monitoring requirements.
– Design and development of reports for the delivery of business intelligence
– Development and delivery of key operational metrics for GRC
Qualifications/Skills:
– Expertise with Oracle PL/SQL, Business Objects, Tableau (Must)
– Knowledge of advanced data mining and predictive analytics
– Experience with programming languages to develop ad-hoc tools and report
– Minimum 10+ years’ experience in relevant field
Desired Skills
– Comfort interpreting meaning and relevance from raw data, and is a confident and refined communicator with the ability to present, organize, and convey complex problems or issues with the ability to discuss and present factual information to other team members and GRC leadership.
– Self-motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure who has a positive team oriented attitude
– Experience and/ or working interactions with internal and/ or external audit functions
– Must be detail oriented, organized, proactive, ability to prioritize and reprioritize to meet deadlines
– The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible, highly organized, and has the ability to quickly grasp business needs and issues.
– Experience and/ or working interactions with internal and/ or external audit functions preferred
– Planning and analysis; problem-solving and critical thinking with demonstrated experience in guiding ambiguous projects to successful outcomes.
